I understand a one of a kind vintage rug is an investment and believe being able to see a rug in your space is critical to feeling comfortable about the purchase you are making.

With this in mind, Heir & Loom is offering a refund if your rug is not the right fit.

Please contact me within three days of receiving the rug and it can be returned in its initial packaging. I will email you a return shipping label and organise for the rug to be picked up again and delivered back to me.

Once the rug has been received by me in it's original condition I will issue the refund.

All orders are processed within 1-3 business day (excluding weekends and public holidays) from receiving your confirmation email.

You will receive a notification email once your order has been shipped with tracking details.

SHIPPING TIME

Shipping times will depend on your location. Please allow longer for regional areas.

All dates quoted for delivery are estimates only and may be subject to change. But generally, rugs sent to capital cities will take 2-3 days and rugs travelling to remote areas may take 5-10 days.

All Heir & Loom rugs are vintage and one of a kind. They are made by hand and naturally imperfect.

Most are circa 1960's and 1970's and all are wool on a cotton foundation (except for one or two that are 100% wool).

Flaws in their wear, colouring, dimensions etc are not considered defective. 

These inconsistencies give each rug it's character and what makes them truly unique.

Rest assured though, I always give detailed descriptions and more than happy to send many more photos to you...just send an email requesting as much.

Photos are taken in natural light and I do my best to portray each rug as accurately as possible.

Colours and tones will vary a little depending on the amount of light in your space. A rugs appearance will often slightly change depending on the time of day.

Vintage rugs are durable and have been made to stand the test of time.

Please do not handle your vintage rug with kid gloves - they are to be used and loved by all!

These rugs have so much life left to give and can definitely be used in high traffic areas.

Please feel free to vacuum your vintage rug in order to remove dust particles.

If you have a stain, spot clean it with a damp cloth. This is all it may need, otherwise you can use a very mild fabric detergent or vinegar.

Definitely no bleach or harsh chemicals as this may ruin the natural vegetable dyes used in the wool.

A rug pad is always a good idea. They stop the rug from moving (especially the smaller ones and runners) and can provide an extra layer of comfort underfoot.
