One to pull at the heart strings!

She’s a 1960’s Oushak rug with an all over pattern and border.

Her colour palette is just sublime. Her field colour is a pale green / beige with mustard and forest green details. I can also see light grey and there are some small light blue details in one spot. Her border is a gorgeous tomato red with a hint of rust.

Not overly worn, but her ‘lazy lines’ are quite prominent. These are a feature of all vintage, hand woven rugs - not a flaw, just a hallmark of genuine craftsmanship. They signal where the weaver has paused and then moved to start a new section, rather than weaving the entire width of the rug in one continuous motion.
